Congressman Tierney believes that America is capable of forging a unique solution to the health insurance crisis facing many working families. While he has long fought for a universal care system that would cover everyone, Congressman Tierney understands that the American people cannot wait any longer as the debate rages.

In that vein, Congressman Tierney has worked to develop bipartisan legislation entitled the Health Partnership Through Creative Federalism Act (H.R. 506) that seeks to foster an environment in which states can have the flexibility to propose creative solutions for providing comprehensive, affordable healthcare to all residents. The proposals could be tested and then used as models throughout the country.
