September 2007 Dear Seniors: This month, I will be launching my new, innovative on-line office. I’d like to take this opportunity to share with you some features of my website, including special resources for senior citizens. It is my sincere hope that my website will provide a fast and easy way for you to keep in touch with me at any time, from anywhere. In my on-line office, you can access a range of services and information, including how to:
My website includes video clips of past speeches and statements as well as photos of my travels through our area. There is also information on community events and local, state and federal agencies. To visit my on-line office go to: http://tierney.house.gov on any computer with internet access. Once you get to my site, visit the special area I have created for seniors. In this portion, you will find links to important federal agencies like the National Institute on Aging, the Social Security Administration and Medicare. The senior page also includes copies of past senior letters for your reference. You can access the senior page by scrolling your mouse over the “Constituent Services” link in the horizontal menu bar. Click on “Information for Seniors” in the blue menu box that appears below. I hope you take a few minutes to visit my site. For those of you who do not have home access to the internet, computer services are often available at a majority of the senior centers. In addition, many public libraries offer access to the World Wide Web. As always, I encourage you to contact me with any questions you may have. Please contact Cheryl Gresek, my Constituent Service Representative, at (978) 531-1669. Sincerely, John F. Tierney |
