The Supreme Court tour features a lecture in the Courtroom. The ground floor of the Supreme Court, which is open to the public, features exhibits which are changed periodically, and a theater, where a film on the Supreme Court is shown.

Location

The Supreme Court is located at 1 1st Street Northeast (map).

Availability of tours of the Supreme Court

  • My office is able to reserve tours of the Supreme Court Monday through Friday at 2:00 p.m. when the Court is not hearing Oral Arguments.
  • A limited number of reservations may be made for Oral Arguments. Please contact Sarah Jackson of my staff at (202) 225-8020.

Non-Reserved tours of the Supreme Court

  • Public tours, called courtroom lectures, are held every hour on the half-hour, on days that the Court is not sitting, beginning at 9:30 a.m. and concluding at 3:30 p.m.
  • The building is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is closed Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays.
